Day four marked our arrival on Maui. Almost as soon as the plane landed I was in love. Maui is everything I imagine when I hear the word Hawaii.
Our room at the Sheraton Maui wasn’t ready and we decided to have lunch at the poolside bar. While we were eating we saw whales swimming past. As for the food, really good but expensive (as expected at a resort). I would highly recommend the Sheraton Maui. We had great service and no place ever seemed that crowded despite being a massive hotel. Plus the location on black rock was nice. There was food and shopping within walking distance and other fantastic options were a short drive away.
We didn’t do much our first day. We arrived early afternoon and then had to wait for our gorgeous room. We ended up walking down to a little shopping area to eat dinner. We ate at Leilani’s, which turned out to be a sister restaurant to Duke’s. The menu was different but the hula pie was there too!
I think Leilani’s had my favorite drink, the Coconut Grove. Oh, so tasty. I had a delicious pasta dish and this time split the Hula pie.
