Life is still a bit crazy around here. I am still sheltering in place. I got a mask and attempted the grocery store on Sunday. It was a bit of a clusterfuck. Not sure I’ll be doing that any time soon. People weren’t even attempting to social distance. Many were unaware that there are other people.
Lots of people were wearing masks, which was nice to see. But then you have people wearing masks incorrectly. (Not covering your nose doesn’t help). Or my favorite, one person in the group is wearing a mask, but the other isn’t. So, you pick up the virus at the store, go home, spouse or kid takes off the mask, and now you give them the virus. Smart.
I get it; masks make it hard to breathe. I have asthma, and it’s extremely hard for me to breathe with a mask on. But you know what? It helps to protect you. So I do it and deal with it for the short time I have to wear it.
I won’t be headed to any restaurants any time soon. There’s still too much unknown and too many people being reckless. So while others fought for their right to live their life, they’ve essentially made it so the rest of us will be stuck at home even longer.
We have a camping trip planned for July. Not sure if that will still happen. It’s at a National Park, and as of right now it’s still closed. Also, the dog boarding place isn’t taking boarders yet. And doggo isn’t welcome at National Park. 🙁
Speaking of doggo, I ordered her an indoor/outdoor agility set! It’s a cheap set to see if she even would do it. I’m also going to look into rally training for her. She is super smart and needs something challenging in the summer when we can’t run and hike with her.
